Process Invoices - Invoices are how vendors ultimately get paid, therefore it will be your most important responsibility. You will need to have a strong affinity for different systems as this role will require you to interface with SAP, Salesforce, and other Business Intelligence Tools. You will also require organizational skills and high attention to detail to analyze data sets and to ensure all invoices are accurate and generated in a timely manner.
Report and Resolve Payment Issues - This is a task that can require conflict resolution skills, as it can involve disputing payment and reconciling issues with both internal stakeholders as well as external vendors. It also takes organizational and communication skills to succeed in this role - as some issues must be documented, communicated, and escalated to multiple teams.
Support Month End Close Reporting - You should understand the Revenue Accounting Principles and own the corresponding entries in the financial statements. This is especially important as you will be dealing with large transaction volumes and will be assisting local teams in understanding with revenue bookings during the month-end close process.
Produce Reports – You should be familiar with Google Suite applications and have strong MS Excel skills as you will be required to prepare and present ad-hoc billing reports to decision-makers.
Drive Automations – You enjoy identifying automation opportunities and actively participate in driving system enhancements that streamline revenue operations processes.
What do you bring to the table?
· 6+ years of relevant accounting and operations experience, with a degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or Finance.
· The ability to be detail-oriented, but can visualize the larger impact of a series of transactions.
· Process-oriented with an understanding of both financial and operational controls.
· Comfortable working with manual and automated processes
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
You will also likely have:
· Knowledge of (or experience in) tech industry or fast-paced environments
· Experience with SQL or the desire to learn
· Familiar with IFRS revenue recognition principles
· Demonstrated professional experience using Excel and working with large data sets.
· The ability to be flexible and comfortable with changing requirements.
· Demonstrated project management experience and the ability to work cross-functionally.
· A builder’s mindset and a willingness to question assumptions and conventional wisdom. You love creating new systems and solving problems via infrastructure and automation.
