JOB PURPOSE
This role will provide technical support for end-users at onsite and offsite company locations. The Technical Support Specialist will represent the Group IT department for both internal and external customers in a positive way by demonstrating responsibility of judgment, confidentiality and professionalism. The position's responsibilities require independent analyses, communication and problem solving. Work is performed with moderate supervision and requires initiative and judgment.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Response to user requests and provide resolution via phone, in person, or remotely.
• Act as first point of contact.
• Use a multitude of different troubleshooting mechanisms to resolve issues in a timely manner.
• Activities require interaction with application software and operating systems to diagnose and resolve problems.
• Resolve problems quickly when possible, following established procedures
• Solving printer and print queue administration issues.
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize a broadly ranging set of responsibilities daily and long-term.
• Escalates incidents / service requests as appropriate.
• A strong understanding of company-specific applications and technologies.
• Document issues and resolutions.
• Must be able to work flexible work hours including nights and weekends in urgent cases.
• Implement and convey company policies to users.
• Any other tasks assign by supervisor.

ORGANIZATION RELATIONSHIPS

Reports directly to the Technical Support Supervisor, he will need to provide technical support for end-users either at onsite or offsite company locations.

QUALIFICATIONS

• BA/BS Degree or equivalent work experience
• 3+ years of experience in an technical support / IT help desk role
• Expertise in standard desktop hardware and software and the ability to resolve user issues.
• Desktop networking support skills are necessary.
• Familiarity and prior usage of Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office applications, networking, PC hardware, wireless technology management, basic wiring, Active Directory, video conferencing, web-based applications and remote support.
• Traveling between sites location within Phnom Penh is required.
• Ability to work in a high volume fast paced environment required.
• Strong Windows 7/10 support and troubleshooting skills required.
• Experience working in a Microsoft Active Directory environment required.
• Documentation skills required.
• Experience with Mac OS X, iOS and Android will be considered as an advantage.
• Strong communication skills in English (both written and spoken) will be considered a major advantage.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Occasional travel by airplane and automobile in conducting business is necessary. Ability to communicate orally with board of directors, customers, vendors, shareholders, management, and other co-workers, both individually and in front of a group is crucial. Regular use of the telephone, e-mail and any other forms of electronic applications for communication is essential.

Sitting for extended period is common. Hearing and vision within normal ranges is essential for normal conversations, to receive ordinary information and to prepare or inspect documents.
Good reasoning ability is required to solve a wide range of business problems. Able to apply statistical calculation, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, and sampling theory. Able to understand and utilize financial report and legal document to conduct business.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The job is performed indoors in office setting. Activities include extended periods of sitting and extensive work at a computer monitor and/or calculator.
