Job Purpose The Quality Manager (or Senior Supervisor) will lead the factory's quality assurance framework across cutting, sewing, washing, and finishing lines in Pochentong. The role demands a tech-forward leader capable of utilizing digital dashboards and AI/smart-camera inspection systems to run real-time defect analysis, lower the factory's DHU (Defects Per Hundred Units), and ensure strict adherence to international buyer quality standards. Key Responsibilities 1. AI-Driven Quality Control & Analytics Digital Defect Tracking: Transition traditional paper-based roving checks into real-time digital defect logging. Analyze line dashboards to instantly identify and resolve quality bottlenecks. Smart-Camera & Vision Systems: Oversee and interpret data from AI-powered smart cameras or area scan sensors used for automated measurement checking, fabric defect detection, and precise QR/barcode end-of-line verification. Predictive Quality Reports: Use modern tools or generative AI applications to quickly draft comprehensive Quality Technical Reports, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and visual defect-classification guides for the floor. 2. Production Line Quality Assurance (QA/QC) In-Line & End-of-Line Inspection: Establish strict statistical sampling plans (AQL 1.5/2.5 or buyer-specific standards) at critical stations (In-line, End-of-Line, and Final Audit). Root Cause Analysis (RCA): Lead daily quality meetings with production line supervisors. Conduct 8D or 5-Why analysis when major sewing, sizing, or shade issues occur to prevent recurring defects. Pre-Production Setup: Actively review tech packs, mock-ups, and pre-production (PP) samples to flag potential construction risks before the sewing lines begin mass assembly. 3. Buyer Compliance & External Audits Final Audit Management: Serve as the main factory technical representative during external buyer audits and independent third-party final inspections. Buyer Standard Alignment: Ensure the entire QC team is continuously updated on specific international brand manuals (measurement tolerances, seam strengths, color matching, and packing rules). 4. Team Leadership & Technical Training Team Capacity Building: Manage and mentor a large team of QC inspectors, roving auditors, and line supervisors. Digital Upskilling: Train floor inspectors on how to properly interact with mobile auditing software, automated sensors, and tablet-based line logs. Job Requirements #1 Core Competency: Tech Literacy & Data-Driven Mindset Hands-on capability to work with digital factory tracking apps, manufacturing intelligence systems, or computerized measurement equipment. Strong ability to read data dashboards, export analytical defect reports, and use tech/AI platforms to solve production floor issues. Experience & Education Bachelor’s degree in Textile Engineering, Industrial Management, Business Administration, or equivalent technical certification. For Manager Level: Minimum of 2 to 3 years of experience as a Quality Manager or Assistant Manager in a high-volume garment manufacturing environment. For Senior Supervisor Level: Developing candidates with less management experience will be considered if they display excellent technical understanding of garment construction, strong logical skills, and quick adaptation to digital tools. Technical Skills & Languages Expertise in garment construction, sewing defects, pattern alignment, and fabric behavior (shrinkage/shade variation). Thorough understanding of AQL (Acceptable Quality Level) standards and statistical quality control. Languages: Strong spoken and written English and Khmer are mandatory for generating buyer reports and leading local teams. (Proficiency in Mandarin is a major plus).
