Job Description: Head of Sales Location: Phnom Penh, Cambodia Department: Sales & Distribution Reports To: Country Director / CEO/ COO
Job Purpose: The Head of Sales will lead the strategic direction, planning, and execution of all Bajaj 3-wheeler sales operations across Cambodia. This includes managing the dealer network, driving revenue growth, expanding market presence, and ensuring strong alignment with marketing, finance, and operations to achieve company sales goals. Key Responsibilities: Strategic Leadership - Develop and implement national sales strategies to achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets. - Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify new growth opportunities, including expansion into untapped provinces or customer segments. - Lead the transition of Bajaj from a primarily business-use product to a broader family and personal-use market.
Dealer & Distribution Management - Expand, manage, and optimize the dealer network nationwide, including setting 3S (Sales, Service, Spare Parts) standards and territory alignment. - Oversee dealer appointment, performance reviews, and stock management. - Ensure consistent supply chain flow and stock availability at retail points.
Sales Operations - Monitor and drive team performance through KPIs, ensuring high conversion rates and customer satisfaction. - Lead demand forecasting, monthly planning, and coordination with production/logistics teams. - Ensure seamless coordination with finance team on loan-to-sale strategy and dealership financing programs.
Team Development - Recruit, train, and motivate a high-performing sales team, including regional managers and field sales executives. - Foster a performance-driven culture and provide regular coaching and development.
Cross-functional Collaboration - Work closely with Marketing & Marcom teams to align campaigns with sales objectives. - Support digital lead generation initiatives and oversee CRM adoption and dealer lead conversion.
Qualifications & Requirements: - Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing or related field; MBA preferred. - Minimum 8 years’ experience in automotive, FMCG, or consumer durable sales, with at least 3 years in a leadership role. - Proven track record in managing dealer networks and achieving revenue targets. - Strong leadership, analytical, and strategic thinking skills. - Familiarity with Cambodia’s automotive or vehicle financing landscape is a plus. - Proficient in English and Khmer (preferred).
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs): - Total Units Sold (Monthly/Quarterly/Annually) - Dealer Activation & Retention - Loan-to-Sale Ratio - Market Share by Province - Sales Team Productivity - Customer Satisfaction & Repeat Purchase Rate
