• Be outstanding customer care with a perfect attitude, smile, energetic and a role model of the receptionist team.
• Be familiar with all hotel facilities, room rates, categories, availability, promotions, outlet operation hours.
• Maintains a friendly, cheerful, and courteous demeanor always.
• Controlling and ensuring all team members’ grooming reaches standard and receptionists are always to be positive, respectful, warm, and work properly.
• Ensuring that the reception counter and lobby are attentive, tidy, and lively.
• Standing by at the reception counter and coordinating the concierge and receptionist.
• Train, direct the work, resolve issues/problems and coach and counsel the team members to ensure a quality operation.
• Supervising the operations of the front desk to ensure an optimal level of service and hospitality is provided to the guests.
• Resolving customer concerns and complaints in an efficient manner to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction and quality service.
• Responds to telephone and in-person inquiries regarding reservations, hotel information and guest concerns, including assisting incoming & outgoing calls, arranging the wake-up calls, enabling DND and lettering for in-house guests.
• Courteously and accurately answers inquiries from potential guests and accepts hotel reservations.
• Controlling proper handover, no work or documents are pending, and ensuring that there is a well prepared for the next shift.
• Ensuring all cash floats are correct after handover and recorded correctly in the book.
• Allocate rooms to expected arrivals after checking the guests’ preferences and special requests.
• Upselling and using sales techniques or strategy to get more room nights, increase occupancy and revenue.
• Crossing checks all billing instructions, invoice, outlet bill are correct.
• Build strong relationships and liaise with all other departments, especially housekeeping, reservations etc.
• Ensuring the Front office logbook and Guest Status is always updated and actioned upon.
• Crossing checks arrival room to ensure cleanliness, standard amenity, and safety.
• Ensuring safety by following guest check in and security procedures and reporting suspicious activity to security, manager, or MOD.
• Participate in hotel committees and task force assignments.
• Performing other duties as assigned, requested, or deemed necessary by management.
• Takes responsibility in the absence of the Duty Manager / Front office manager.


• High School GED or above or an associate degree in hospitality.
• Bachelor's degree in business administration or hospitality is advantageous or three years’ experience as receptionist or front desk cashier.
• Positive attitude and excellent communication skills.
• Excellent reading, writing and oral proficiency in English language.
• Good computer skills, with knowledge of booking systems, both in-house and online.
• Experience of leading and motivating team
• Hands-on experience of taking credit/debit card payments over the phone and in-person.
• Ability to work effectively and contribute to a team.
• Self-motivated and energetic. Must be well-presented and professionally groomed.
