Job Description
>Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the purchasing team.
>Develop and implement purchasing strategies to optimize costs, quality, and delivery time.
>Evaluate and select suppliers based on quality, reliability, and pricing.
>Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing with vendors and suppliers.
>Monitor and manage inventory levels to meet production and operational needs.
>Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and procedures.
>Review purchase orders for accuracy and ensure proper documentation.
>Resolve issues related to delivery, quality, or pricing with suppliers.
>Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and other procurement activities.
>Prepare reports on purchasing metrics and supplier performance.
>Collaborate with internal departments such as Finance, Production, and Logistics, to forest demand and align procurement plans.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 3 to 5 years of experience in purchasing or procurement, including supervisory experience.
- Strong knowledge of supply chain management principles.
- Proficiency in purchasing software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills- Strong organizational and leadership abilities.
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
