Position: Front Desk Agent (Mandarin Speaking)
Location: VM Hotel
Employment Type: Full-Time
Reports to: Front Office Supervisor/Manager
Job Overview:
As a Mandarin-Speaking Front Desk Agent at VM Hotel, you will be the face of the hotel for our guests. Your role is to ensure a seamless check-in/check-out experience, assist with guest inquiries, and deliver service with professionalism and care. Mandarin fluency is essential to support our growing number of Chinese-speaking guests.
Key Responsibilities:
Greet guests warmly and professionally upon arrival and departure
Handle check-in and check-out procedures efficiently
Provide accurate information about hotel services, facilities, and local attractions
Respond promptly to guest inquiries in Mandarin and English
Manage room reservations, modifications, and cancellations
Coordinate with housekeeping and other departments for guest needs
Handle payments, invoices, and billing accurately
Resolve guest issues or escalate appropriately to management
Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming front desk area
Requirements:
Fluency in Mandarin and English (spoken and written) is mandatory
Prior experience in front desk or guest service preferred (1+ years)
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Proficient in hotel management systems (PMS experience an advantage)
Ability to work in shifts, including weekends and holidays
Well-groomed, professional appearance
Preferred Skills:
Knowledge of local area and tourist attractions
Multilingual skills beyond Mandarin and English are a plus
Ability to work under pressure and multitask
