Job Summary: A Junior Accountant is responsible for supporting the accuracy and completeness of financial records by assisting with general ledger maintenance, preparing and posting basic journal entries, and contributing to monthly and annual financial reporting tasks. The role provides support in audit preparation, tax filing processes, and adherence to internal control procedures under the guidance of senior accounting staff. Key Responsibilities: -Record daily journal entries (sales, purchases, expenses, etc.). -Maintain proper documentation and audit trail for all entries. -Ensure postings are accurate by account, department, project, and tax classification. -Perform bank reconciliation daily/weekly. -Reconcile key balance sheet accounts (cash, AR, AP, prepaid, accruals, wallets, etc.). -Investigate discrepancies between system reports and GL balances (e.g., driver wallet, COD cash, merchant payables). -Prepare and post month-end adjustments (accruals, deferrals, provisions). -Maintain and update fixed asset schedules and depreciation. -Support preparation of trial balances and full financial statements. -Generate monthly management reports (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow). -Coordinate with FP&A team for monthly reviews. -Assist with VAT and withholding tax filing support. -Support internal and external audits by preparing required documentation. -Support Accounting System data integrity -Help automate repetitive tasks and improve monthly close timelines. -Provide financial support to operational teams. Qualification and Skills: -Bachelor of Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. -At least 2 years of experience in financial, accountant or similar role. -Proficient to use Microsoft Word, Excel, QuickBooks. -Ability to manages deadlines and handles multiple priorities effectively.
