We are seeking a high-energy, results-driven Retail Sales Manager to lead our sales team and oversee daily retail operations for our Agriculture and Construction equipment and supplies divisions. In this role, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth, managing a knowledgeable sales team, optimizing inventory, and delivering an exceptional customer experience.
You will bridge the gap between heavy machinery, specialized attachments, and everyday contractor/farming supplies, ensuring our store remains the go-to partner for local builders and agricultural producers.
Key Responsibilities
• Train, and manage a team of retail sales associates, parts specialists, and equipment consultants.
• Establish, monitor, and achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets for both the agriculture and construction sectors.
• Conduct regular performance reviews, identify training gaps, and implement sales coaching to improve closing rates and customer satisfaction.
• Collaborate with procurement and parts teams to ensure optimal stock levels. Anticipate seasonal agricultural demands (planting/harvesting) and construction cycles (peak building seasons).
• Design and execute targeted in-store promotions, product demonstrations, and seasonal clearance events.
• Personally handle high-value accounts, fleet buyers, local agricultural cooperatives, and major construction contractors.
• Ensure the sales team provides accurate, technical advice regarding equipment specifications, compatibility, and safety standards.
• Act as the primary point of escalation for customer complaints, finance/leasing inquiries, and equipment warranty issues.
• Manage pricing strategies, discounts, and trade-in valuations to protect profit margins while remaining competitive.
• Stay ahead of industry trends, competitor pricing, and technological advancements (e.g., precision agriculture tech, smart construction tools).
• Prepare regular sales forecasts, inventory turnover reports, and margin analyses for senior leadership.
Role Requirements & Qualifications
• 5+ years of retail sales experience, with at least 2–3 years in a management or supervisory role specifically within the agriculture Equipment, construction equipment, or industrial supply industries.
• Deep familiarity with major equipment brands, implement attachments, precision farming tools, and construction contractor supplies.
• Proven track record of meeting or exceeding retail sales quotas and managing a P&L (Profit and Loss) statement.
• Strong ability to motivate a diverse team, from showroom floor staff to technical parts specialists.
• Excellent negotiation, verbal, and written communication skills. Comfortable speaking with both independent farmers and commercial project managers.
