Job Title: Purchasing Officer Location: VM Hotel Job Type: Full-time
Job Summary:
The Purchasing Officer is responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and procuring goods and services required for the hotel’s operations. This role ensures cost-effective purchasing while maintaining quality standards and timely delivery.
Key Responsibilities: - Research and evaluate potential vendors and suppliers. - Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with suppliers. - Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and inventory levels. - Monitor stock levels and place orders as needed. - Ensure timely delivery of goods and resolve any supply chain issues. - Work closely with different departments to understand their purchasing needs. - Implement and enforce procurement policies and procedures. - Conduct market research to identify cost-saving opportunities. - Review the quality of purchased products and address discrepancies.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Understanding Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. - Proven experience as a Purchasing Officer or in a similar role. - Strong negotiation and communication skills. - Knowledge of procurement best practices and supplier management. - Ability to analyze market trends and make cost-effective purchasing decisions. - Proficiency in purchasing software and inventory management systems. - Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
